As the first quarter of 2021 came to a close, Sensor Tower has observed interesting trends in the geolocation games category on the Android platform across Latin America. Here we delve into the data to see how the top players in this space performed.

Pokémon GO by Niantic, Inc. showed resilience with weekly active users starting at approximately 14M in the last week of December and tapering to around 11M by the end of March. Downloads peaked in the first week of March at over 260K, and revenue showed a similar trend with a peak of $176K mid-February before settling to $121K by the last week of March.

Jam City's Jurassic World Alive had a steadier performance in terms of user engagement, starting the quarter with roughly 62K weekly active users and ending with around 65K. Downloads saw a notable spike in the week of March 22nd with over 26K, while revenue fluctuated, peaking at nearly $8K in late January.

Five Nights at Freddy's AR from Illumix Inc. observed its highest number of weekly active users at the start of the year with approximately 170K, which decreased to around 140K by the end of March. The game's downloads were strongest in mid-January at close to 49K, and the revenue trended downwards from $3.7K at the end of December to under $1K by the end of March.

Niantic's Ingress Prime saw a slight decline in weekly active users from 753 to 469 over the quarter. The title had negligible downloads and a revenue trend that peaked in early February at $2.4K before descending to a few hundred dollars by the close of Q1.

Appsyoulove's Tamadog - Puppy Pet Dog Games had no revenue to report at the start of the quarter, but this figure grew to $1.9K by the end of March. Weekly active users showed a strong upward trajectory, from just 195 at the end of December to nearly 45K by March's end. Downloads followed a similar upward trend, peaking at over 54K in the week of February 22nd.
